Steve Goff and Beckwith Thompson are happy to announce their two-person retrospective exhibit opening early 2024 at UTPB's Nancy Fyfe Cardozier Gallery, located in the Art Building by Stonehenge.
Steve Goff, Professor and the former Program Head of Photography, has taught at Odessa College since 1984, retired in 2022, and now teaches workshops around the state and the region. He received his B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Ohio University and taught at the Maine Photographic Workshops, Lakeland and Cuyahoga Community Colleges, and Cleveland State University before moving to Texas. He has been awarded the Aid to Individual Artist Fellowship from the Ohio Arts Council and the Fellowship Award in Photography from the Mid-America Arts Alliance/National Endowment for the Arts. He has represented the Fellowship winners at Mois de la Photo in Paris, France. He has an extensive exhibition record, including Houston FotoFest 2015 and Marfa Open 2016. Steve currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Photographic Society and recently retired after 25 years on the Board of Odessa Arts.
Beckwith Thompson, a native of West Texas, has a love of travel that has taken her to 15 countries and 48 states. As the owner of Beckwith Thompson Studio, she has developed a way of seeing the world through an artist’s eyes, which she shares with her BeckwithArt Designed Spaces clients and portrait clients throughout the country and internationally in such places as Paris and Shanghai. Between her travels, Beckwith creates commissions for commercial clients, teaches photography, and maintains her drought-tolerant garden. She and her husband, Steve Goff, live in a charming 85+-year-old home known area-wide because of its working clock tower with an armadillo wind vane.
